Coronavirus: Watch Lua Lua, Gomaa and Sseninde join other African legends in Caf Safe Hands Challenge

Lomana LuaLua, Wael Gomaa and Jean Sseninde have joined other African football legends in the Caf Safe Hands Challenge to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

The pandemic which is currently wreaking havoc across the world has claimed thousands of lives, crippled the economy and paralysed major activities across the globe.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recommended a number of measures to stem the spread of the virus including regular hand washing.

The duo of the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Lua Lua and Herita LLunga, Egypt’s Wael Gomaa and Morocco’s Mustafa El Haddaoui have joined Caf to educate people on the procedures for handwashing.

Other legends include Senegal duo Diomansy Kamara and Alassane N'Dour as well as former Uganda women's international Jean Sseninde.

The Confederation of Africa Football also urges football lovers to stay safe in a message accompanied by the ‘no handshake challenge’ video.  

“Stay safe, protect yourself and your loved ones from the coronavirus,” Caf tweeted.
