La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid play their first match of the International Champions Cup against Chivas Guadalajara in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Diego Simeone has plenty of new faces in his squad and will be hoping to get off to a winning start against a Chivas side who have endured a torrid summer, losing friendlies against Boca Juniors, River Plate, Fiorentina and Benfica.

Simeone fielded a strong starting eleven for their against Numancia at the weekend and should start Wednesday's game with another impressive lineup. Record signing Joao Felix limped off on his debut on Saturday, but should be able to feature here.
Midfielder Thomas Partey has not travelled to the US after his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations, while defenders Santiago Arias and Jose-Maria Gimenez have also remained in Madrid after their Copa America exploits.

Only three sides scored fewer goals than Chivas in the Mexican league last season, and their problems in front of goal do not seem to have abated even with the signing of veteran striker Oribe Peralta.
There is certainly a negative air around the Mexican side with the local press already putting manager Tomas Boy under pressure following a disastrous start to his tenure as coach.
Conversely, there is plenty of optimism in the Atletico camp despite the loss of Antoine Griezmann, with the side having conducted their transfer business smartly and efficiently.
