Chelsea Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Burnley

Chelsea face Burnley on Sunday after they maintained their unbeaten record by beating BATE 3-1 in the Europa League.

That result comes after the Blues' dramatic 96th-minute equaliser against Manchester United, with Ross Barkley's goal saving them from what would have been a first defeat of the season.

The draw at Stamford Bridge means Chelsea dropped one place into third, two points off both Manchester City and Liverpool at the top.

Burnley head into the game just three points above the relegation zone in 13th  place and were well-beaten by Pep Guardiola's City last time out.

Chelsea Injuries

Eden Hazard is Chelsea's biggest injury concern, having suffered a back injury against Manchester United and is facing a race against time to be fit to feature at Turf Moor.

The Belgian superstar sat out the midweek clash against BATE but Maurizio Sarri refused to blame United for any perceived rough treatment for the Blues' star man.

Ethan Amapdu, meanwhile, is unavailable with a knee problem although it's unlikely he would've made the matchday squad, with so much competition for places in midfield.

Chelsea Suspensions

Neither Chelsea nor Burnley have any players out with suspensions ahead of Sunday's clash, while there are no players in danger of bans should they pick up yellow cards.

Chelsea Potential Starting Line-Up

Sarri faces another busy period juggling his squad as they continue to battle for honours on all fronts. Eight players were rotated for the Europa League clash against BATE and they will likely return on Sunday.

The entire back four is set to be switched back to the one that faced Manchester United, while Jorginho and N'Golo Kante should return in midfield.

Ross Barkley could start due to his physical presence, while Alvaro Morata battles Olivier Giroud for a spot up front.

Both Willian and Pedro were substituted against BATE with the game already won, and both will likely play should Hazard fail to recover in time. Chelsea predicted XI GFXGoal

Burnley Team News

Robbie Brady and Ben Gibson are major doubts for Burnley with neither having yet appeared for Sean Dyche's side this season. Stephen Ward, meanwhile, underwent knee surgery a fortnight ago and he will miss out.

England international goalkeeper Nick Pope is out with a long-term shoulder injury, with Joe Hart having been preferred in goal after signing from Manchester City.
