Casemiro was the talk of the town this past weekend as his stunning overhead kick inspired Real Madrid to a 3-1 victory over city rivals Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

The Brazilian struck Real’s first in the win that saw them leapfrog Diego Simeone’s men and pull within six points of Liga-leaders Barcelona.

But he wasn’t the only name on everyone’s lips after another thrilling matchday of La Liga action.

Youssef En-Nesyri was back among the goals with a brilliant hat-trick to inspire Leganes to an impressive 3-0 victory over Real Betis.

And there was more drama to be found in Barcelona, where Sergi Darder’s fabulous volley gave Espanyol a 95th-minute winner against Rayo Vallecano.
