Gor Mahia have been forced to postpone their trip to face SuperSport United in Pretoria on Wednesday (April 18).

The Kenyan champions were scheduled to depart for South Africa on Monday but could not make the trip after they failed to secure visas for the travelling contingent of 19 players and officials.

Goal also understands that the club was not able to afford return tickets after the Kenyan government failed to provide the same as they did when they travelled for both Caf Champions League matches against Leones Vegetarianos in Malabo and Esperance of Tunisia.

In a statement obtained by Goal, the club secretary Ben Omondi as confirmed that they have been frustrated enough to make the trip to South Africa.

“We are in bad shape making it hard for the team to fly to South Africa for the Caf Confederation Cup return leg planned for April 18, 2018.

“We have done all within our means to get all travel documentations right in good time but things are not working as scheduled thus our travel to Pretoria is postponed.”

Gor Mahia were to carry a 1-0 lead into the reverse fixture after a positive start at home on April 7.
