Max Allegri's side are overwhelming favourites to extend their advantage at the top of Serie A, but it may not be the goal-fest that's expected

There's something of a mismatch in Serie A on Monday evening as Juventus host Chievo.

Napoli's win over Lazio on Sunday night closed the gap to six points at the top of the table. 888Sport expect that to return to nine though, pricing a home win at just 1/14 (1.07).

The team who sit bottom of the division are 22/1 (23.0) underdogs and a sizeable 19/2 (10.50) to take a share of the spoils in this one.

Given how short Juve are to win the match, most punters will understandably be looking away from the match odds in search of value.

The best selection here looks to be opposing a high-scoring game. The bookmakers are expecting a fair amount of action in the final third, offering just 1/2 (1.50) on over 2.5 goals and 11/8 (2.38) on four or more being scored at the Allianz Stadium.

Instead though, the opportunity to opt for 19/20 (1.95) on Under 3 goals on the Asian line with 888Sport looks the way to go. This bet sees stakes returned if the game contains exactly three goals with a tasty potential return if no more than two are scored.

After losing nine of their first 11 Serie A games of the campaign, Chievo appear to have turned something of a corner. A run of just one defeat in their last eight outings has been built on a much-improved defensive showing. They're still languishing at the foot of the table but their recent displays have shown plenty more steel.

Only one of the visitors' last eight matches has seen more than two goals and Juventus haven't exactly been prolific of late. In their last six home league games, Allegri's men have scored more than two goals just once.

Given their impressive backline it's no surprise to see Juve at the top of the defensive statistics for the campaign. 11 goals conceded means Chievo will have their work cut out to find any joy in the final third and matches at this ground have rarely been goal-fests this term.

Juventus have played 10 Serie A games at home so far and this selection would have won outright in six of them, with two others seeing stakes returned in full.

At 19/20 (1.95) the Under 3 goals line with 888Sport appears to offer plenty of value as a struggling - yet improving - Chievo side head to Turin.
