Sunday evening saw Real Madrid produce another impressive comeback to claim an important win at Villarreal. Los Blancos were trailing 2-0 with 25 minutes to go, yet ran out 3-2 winners at the Estadio de la Ceramica to stay top of the La Liga table.
Next up for Zinedine Zidane's men is the visit of Las Palmas to the Bernabeu on Wednesday night, and while the side from the Canary Islands claimed a 2-2 draw against Los Blancos earlier this season, their form on the road has been extremely poor.
Indeed, Quique Setien's men not won away from home since the opening day of the season, drawing two and losing eight of their subsequent 10 matches, and they are understandably massive outsiders for the visit to the Spanish capital. Betfair offer Las Palmas at 20/1 (21.00) while a home win is offered at 1/7 (1.14) and the draw can be backed 8/1 (9.00).
Real Madrid's home record is the best in the Primera Division, with Los Blancos the only unbeaten side in their own stadium. On the road meanwhile Las Palmas have the third worst record with five points from a possible 33, meaning that there should be little doubt that the hosts are worthy favourites.
Part of the reason to explain the Gran Canaria outfit's woes on the road has been their inability to score, and just two goals in their last six away games points to an inefficiency in the final third despite being an excellent passing side.
Real Madrid have kept clean sheets in three of their last four home matches in La Liga and the price of 21/20 (2.05) to do so once more against an out of form side struggling for goals, looks to offer considerable value and is slightly more appealing than opposing both teams to score at evens (2.00).
