The current Spanish top-flight leaders might have suffered a painful defeat last week but they’ll be looking to bounce back in style

Barcelona will play host to cross-town rivals Espanyol in the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarterfinal at the Camp Nou on Thursday night.

The Blaugrana lost 1-0 in the first leg which was their first defeat in all competitions this season. They however bounced back with a commanding 5-0 win at Real Betis which extended their lead at the top of the Primera Division standings to 11 points.

Ernesto Valverde’s men should be able to seal the deal here and claim a win at odds of (1.083) with Bet365 that would be enough to see them progress to the semifinals.

Quique Sanchez Flores’ men will head to the Camp Nou having been trounced by Sevilla 3-0 in their own backyard. This leaves them with very little hope of building on from their first leg achievement, making them the clear underdogs at odds of (23.00) with the same betting firm.

A draw at the end of 90 minutes would be enough to see the Periquitos through to the semis and that comes in at the price of (10.00).

Barcelona have won 13 of their last 14 games at home and look good to avoid defeat at odds of (1.012).

What’s more is that 10 of those 13 victories have by wins to nil, including the last four. Backing the Catalan giants to repeat it here is available at (1.72).

Espanyol last beat Barcelona in 2009 and have since then lost their last 10 trips to the Camp Nou. Flores’ men to concede is priced at (1.015).

The last four meetings between these Catalan rivals has seen more than three goals scored. Punters can back that to happen again on Thursday with odds of (1.25) on offer with Bet365.
