Bet365 Preview: AS Roma – SS Lazio: Expect a tense game in Rome

This game has had a history of being feisty and won’t be out of place to see it again in the Italian capital

The Stadio Olimpico is the venue of the highly anticipated Rome Derby between Roma and Lazio in the Serie A on Saturday.

It’s been a productive season for the Giallorossi so far as nine victories from their 11 league games sees them sit in fifth place, just five points behind the high flying Napoli. It’s going to be a close call here but Eusebio Di Francesco’s men are tipped for victory at narrow odds of (2.25) with Bet365.

The Biancocelesti are one point and place ahead of their fierce rivals and have equally lit up the Italian top flight with a number of impressive results. They triumphed 5-1 away to bottom club Benevento back in October and have been quoted by the same firm at juicy odds of (3.50) for all three points.

A stalemate at the end of 90 minutes is priced at (3.10) with the same firm.

Roma have the edge over Lazio in head to head encounters, winning 52 of 146 top fight meetings. What’s more is that they have won 10 of the last 17 derbies in which they were classified as the home team, drawing seven times. A double chance in their shared turf is offered at (1.38).

With both teams scoring a combined 52 goals so far this term, seeing more than three strikes and goal action at both ends of the pitch is available at odds of (1.57) and (1.50) respectively.

Since the 1994/1995 Serie A season, no other fixture has seen more red cards than the Rome Derby. It’s set to be another intense fixture and backing the referee to produce more than seven cards is priced at (1.72).

Ciro Immobile has had a hand in 36 goals in 2017 (26 goals and eight assists). The Italian forward doesn’t seem to stop scoring and is tipped to score anytime here at odds of (1.83) with Bet365.

When it comes to goals for the Giallorossi, Edin Dzeko is the main supplier. With 10 goals to his name in all competitions this season, the big Bosnian is a pricy (1.72) to score anytime.
