Back Spurs and oppose a draw between Manchester United and Arsenal in Goal's Colossus Syndicate

After a draw-filled weekend last time out in the Goal Syndicate, we’re back with a vengeance this week in an attempt to net the massive jackpot on offer.

Many of the fixtures on Saturday and Sunday failed to go to form, including relegation-threatened Birmingham City grabbing a 1-1 draw at Sheffield United, whilst Barcelona were held to the same scoreline by Valencia.

Another £800,000 is on offer this weekend though, and you can get involved with the Syndicate by clicking here!

We’ve handpicked a selection of the fixtures and included our thoughts on how we think the matches will pan out below.

Watford v Tottenham - away win

The Hornets have won just two games at Vicarage Road this season, and one of those was against West Ham United. Marco Silva has seemingly been unable to rally his troops at home, as evidenced by 13 of their 21 Premier League points this season coming on the road.

Spurs, meanwhile, are the same; the Lilywhites still do not appear to be over their Wembley hoodoo – at least not in the league – but have won four of their seven games away from home this term.

Stoke v Swansea - home win

Even this early into the season, it seems almost a shoo-in that Swansea will be going back down to the Championship after recording just two wins from their opening 12 games. Things are unlikely to get much easier for them, either, as they are winless at Stoke since 2001.

Although the Potters aren’t much better this season, they have only lost two games at the bet365 stadium this season and should be able to grab another three points over floundering opposition.

Bristol City v Middlesbrough - home win

The Robins’ rise this season appears to have come out of nowhere after flirting with relegation for the past two years since moving up to England’s second tier, with Lee Johnson’s men winning won four and drawn three of their home ventures this campaign to propel them up the table.

Boro sit just two places below their opponents, but Garry Monk’s men have won just two of their last six away from the Riverside and suffered a demoralising 2-1 defeat at Leeds United last time out.

Torino v Atalanta - home win

Torino have largely struggled to get wins this season, but perhaps more importantly, they have been avoiding defeat. Creditable draws at both Milan clubs in recent weeks will give them confidence, though, especially when notoriously poor Atalanta come to town.

That is perhaps doing the visitors a disservice, for the side from Lombardy have are only two places lower than Torino, but crucially, they have failed to win any of their last six on the road - including losses in their last three.

Birmingham v Wolves - away win

Birmingham City have not been seen in the third tier of English football since 1995 but are in danger of dropping down there again after recording a meagre four wins from 19 games this season - meaning the Blues sit only two points above the drop zone.

These two clubs could not have differing fortunes, as Wolves are top of the table and are already seven points clear of the play-offs. Nuno Espirito Santo has done a tremendous job in charge of the West Midlanders, leading his team to five straight wins.

This week’s Syndicate

As the captain, Goal have made the selections for the Syndicate. You can see all the picks for this weekend’s 1X2 Pick 15 pool.

With a Syndicate, you don’t have to just pick one outcome per match, there’s the option to cover two or even three outcomes to give a better chance of securing a winning ticket and that’s what we’ve opted to do on a few matches.

You can join the Syndicate now and help to fund the ticket from as little as 20p, assuming you like the look of our selections of course!

Share your ticket socially and help fund it

Colossus customers can share tickets socially via Twitter, Facebook or WhatsApp, a great way to show others what you’re backing, enabling them to help crowdfund the ticket too.
