“I will say Andre Ayew and Alfred Duncan," Wakaso told Metro TV.
"Ayew had an injury and so he didn't start the season too well.
“But he was able to recover and gradually he regained his form.
"I was very impressed with Alfred Duncan as well.
“I watched him a couple of times [playing] for his team in Italy and he was very good.
"I will say these two players were my best players.”
Interestingly, Wakaso ignored Kevin-Prince Boateng and Majeed Waris who notched 10 and nine goals for Spanish side Las Palmas and French club Lorient respectively.
Wakaso, himself, did not fare badly last campaign, having made 11 La Liga outings and scored once during a half-season loan deal at Granada.
The 26-year-old featured eight times in the Greek league for parent club Panathinaikos during the first half of the season.
