The Ghanaian reveals the secret to the Nerazzurri's hard-fought triumph in the Serie A on Saturday

Inter Milan ace Kwadwo Asamoah has lauded their tenacity after they left it late to beat Sampdoria to three points in the Italian Serie A on Saturday.

Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic scored the match winner in the fourth minute of injury time to earn the Nerazzurri a 1-0 away triumph at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova.

It was Luciano Spalletti's side's second last-gasp victory in four days after a 92nd minute goal ensured a 2-1 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Tuesday.

"We won Sampdoria courtesy of our championship quality and magnificent team spirit, and the selfless dedication of the Inter travelling fans," Asamoah tweeted after the game.

It was indeed a dramatic matchday five fixture dominated by video assistant reviews.

Radja Nainggolan's first half goal for Inter was overruled by the VAR before Asamoah saw what he thought was the match winner in the 88th minute also disallowed by the review system.

At the other end, Gregoire Defrel's goal for Sampdoria moments later was also nullified.

Then Brozovic popped up in stoppage time with a powerful low shot into the net. This time around, VAR could do nothing but look on as the Nerazzurri won it all at the death.

The result puts Inter level on points with sixth-placed Sampdoria on the league standings.

Asamoah, who was deployed at left-back, lasted for the entire duration of Saturday's game.

It was the 29-year-old's fifth league game for Spalletti's outfit since transferring from Juventus in the summer.
