thumbnail Hello,

Manchester City are hoping to re-sign Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey in the summer, according to The Daily Mirror.

Reports suggest that the Eastlands outfit are looking to their former youth team player, who left the club for Wolves in 2003 in order to gain first-team experience.

City scouts believe the 24-year-old Welsh international will provide ideal competition for current number one goalkeeper Joe Hart, especially as Shay Given is seeking a move away from the club.

Having established himself as a Premier League goalkeeper this season, a return to his former club would look increasingly likely for Hennessey if Wolves are unable to maintain their top-flight status this year.

Hennessey is currently placed 1646th in the Castrol Rankings, up from 2096th a month ago.
