Annan reveals Kotoko's ambitions as Ghana Premier League reaches halfway

Asante Kotoko are determined to see off Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday to increase their chance of finishing the first round in the top four, goalkeeper Felix Annan has said.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to face the defending champions on matchday 15 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Currently sixth on the log, Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin's outfit could take a leap by more than two places should they win and results elsewhere go their way.

"We are playing against the defending champions. They have good team and are also participating in the Caf Confederation Cup," Annan told Kotoko's media, as reported by Kickgh.

"Playing against Aduana Stars looks like a rivalry fixture.

"It won't be an easy game on Sunday but we're poised for victory over them.

"We want to end the first round of the 2017-18 season on a high note.

"We're going to prepare very well to grab all the maximum points to at least finish in the top four."

Aduana, meanwhile, sit third from bottom on the table.

The Fire Boys have endured a disappointing time so far this season, having won four games, drawn two and lost four.
