Amis Tambwe declares himself fit for Kakamega Homeboys clash

Tambwe missed the most of last season through injury and will need to prove fitness in the competition to prove his worth in the club

Yanga striker Amis Tambwe has claimed that he is fit and ready to fight for a starting spot in the Sportpesa Super Cup in Kenya.

The Jangwani boys will play on Sunday against Kakamega Homeboys while their arch rivals Simba will be up against Kariobangi Sharks on Monday.

Speaking to Goal, Tambwe who has travelled to Kenya with the team said that he feels much better now and he is ready for the fight.

"I was injured for a long time but now I feel much better, I need to regain my starting position ahead of next season," said Tambwe.

However, it remains to be seen if the Burundian will stay at the club with some reports suggesting that he will be released.
