AFC Leopards is holding talks with former Tusker FC defender Eugine Asike with hopes of sealing a move.

The ex-Sofapaka man has been a rock at the back of the eleven-time league champions before his shock exit this month, after his contract expired. A source privy to happenings at The Den has told Goal that the player is open to joining Ingwe, but his financial demands have to be met.

“Yes, it is true we are interested in signing him, he is a proven winner who will add quality to our team as well as stability at the back. He is willing to join the club, but that will be confirmed once both parties agree on sign on fee as well as salary.”

This comes just a day after the club announced the capture of Thika United forward Eugine Mukangula on a three-year contract.
