Qatar's Al Sadd were beaten 1-0 by Iran's Persepolis in the first leg of their AFC Champions League semifinal clash.
The star of the show for Persepolis was their goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand who was sensational under the bars, despite the fact that Ali Alipour was the one scored the match-winner.
Beiranvand was terrific on the night and pulled off save after save to keep his side in the game. He made six saves as he kept a vital clean sheet.
The Iran international had a 100 per cent save success rate, won three duels and made 25 successful passes.
He was simply sensational on the night for Persepolis and is aptly named this week's Toyota Asian Player of the Week!
