The former Sweden international has proved in MLS that he has not lost his touch around the net, leading to renewed interest from the Rossoneri

Los Angeles Galaxy technical director Jovan Kirovski believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will pass up the chance to move back to AC Milan in favour of staying in Major League Soccer.

Zlatan has history at San Siro, having represented both Milan and arch-rivals Inter during his incredible, goal and trophy-laden career.

In two seasons with the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2012 he helped himself to 56 goals in 85 games, while helping the team to Serie A success in his debut season.

Even at the grand old age of 37, Ibrahimovic still has the scoring touch, netting 22 goals in 27 outings for the Galaxy in his first MLS campaign.

That form has caught the eye of Milan once more, with reports circulating of meetings involving club officials and Zlatan's agent, Mino Raiola.

Kirovski, however, is determined to see the star remain in the United States.

“Ibrahimovic is a fantastic player both for us and for the whole of MLS,” Kirovski told Sky Sport Italia.

“He’s the best player to have come to the American league. He’s a killer, he always wants to win and score.

“Ibrahimovic’s contract isn’t expiring, he still has a year on his contract with us. We want him to be happy in our team and we are working to ensure that he can continue playing for the Galaxy."

Kirovski went on to praise the veteran, who was outscored only Atlanta United's Josef Martinez in a season that saw the Galaxy disappoint overall, finishing outside of the play-off positions.

“He’s a special player, unique for us. To score so many goals and provide so many assists at his age, after the injury at Manchester United, is incredible,"

“There are many excellent players, but no-one is like him.”
