Benfica are lining up a possible move for Osasuna defender Nacho Monreal who would be a replacement for Real Madrid target Fabio Coentrao.
The latest reports claim Coentrao will move to the Bernabeu for around €22 million.
It's no secret that the Portugal full-back is likely to move to Spain, leaving AS.com to anticipate that Benfica's will try to land Monreal.
But he has a buy-out clause set at €12 million which could be too much for the Eagles who are said to value the 25-year-old Spaniard at closer to €7m.
Monreal is a regular starter in Jose Luis Mendilibar's squad after playing 31 games last season - suggesting the Pamplona-based side are in no hurry to sell.
However, an offer close to the buy-out clause could persuade them to part ways with the left-back.
