Olympique de Marseille attacker Andre Ayew has revealed that the pain his left shoulder has subsided.

The Ghana international picked up the injury while representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, but decided to put off surgical.

Ayew finally underwent the operation on April 24, and was expected to be out for three months. The attacker, however, made an appearance in the 2-0 friendly loss to Benfica, and revealed that his recovery is well on track.

"Personally, I had not played for a month and a half. My legs were tired, but I returned gradually. My shoulder is better and this is what is most important," Ayew told Marseille's official website.

Ayew has been the subject of much speculation recently, and it is believed he may be tempted to leave the French outfit in order to play in the Champions League.
