Toulouse have announced their first signing of the summer transfer window, confirming defender Pavle Ninkov has joined the club from Red Star Belgrade until 2015 for an undisclosed fee.

Speaking with the club's official website, Ninkov stated that he has strong ambitions for the future with the Ligue 1 outfit.

"I come from a big club, so I want to fight to be as high as possible with Toulouse and for the opportunity to play in Europe and maybe even the Champions League," the 26-year-old said.

"I love this club, I hope that I will develop myself in this team."

Ninkov led Red Star to the third round of last season's Europa League and has made four appearances for the Serbian national team.

Toulouse have also unveiled the signing of Aymen Abdennour from Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel, handing the stopper a four-year contract.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Werder Bremen, making eight appearances for the Bundesliga club.
