Official: Paris Saint-Germain sign Jeremy Menez & Blaise Matuidi

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signings of Roma attacker Jeremy Menez and Saint Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi, the club announced on their official website on Monday.

PSG have not disclosed any financial details of the transfers, but the players penned three-year deals.

The move for Menez was long in the pipeline after Olympique Marseille pulled out of the race to sign the France international.

Menez was given permission to leave Roma's pre-season training on Sunday in anticipation of the transfer going through. The 24-year-old moves back to France having previously played for Sochaux and Monaco.

The striker underlined his ambition to make rapid progress with his new club and hopes to fire them into the Champions League.

"I want to get into the Champions League with PSG," he told the press.

"The PSG project influenced my choice to join the club and I was very interested in it. I did not hesitate one second when signing.

"PSG must be up there with the top clubs in Europe."

Speaking of his departure from Roma, where he never really reached his full potential, Menez said: "I am sorry to leave Roma. This was a career choice.

"I want to thank everyone including the fans. I always got on well with the directors at Roma, and now I am honoured to join PSG."

Meanwhile, Matuidi joins from Saint Etienne having spent four years with the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard-based outfit.

Shortly after announcing the arrivals of Menez and Matuidi, the French club also confirmed the signing of Milan Bisevac from Valenciennes.

The 27-year-old has also signed a three-year deal for the Parc des Princes-based side. The financial details remain undisclosed as well.
