Eden Hazard Set To Sign Lille Contract Extension - Report

Belgium international Eden Hazard could sign a contract extension with Europa League hopefuls Lille in the coming weeks, according to a report in L'Equipe.

The tricky attacker's current contract with Lille runs until the summer of 2014, but Hazard is continually being linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 table toppers. Therefore, Lille are eager to tie down the 20-year-old.

The report claims that Lille have offered Hazard a new, improved deal until the summer of 2016 and the attacker is expected to make a decision about his future in the coming weeks. LOSC are hopeful of announcing Hazard's contract extension ahead of the Ligue 1 game against Olympique Lyonnais at the weekend.

Hazard joined the Lille youth academy from Tubize in 2005 and has developed into a key player at the French side since making his debut in November 2007.

He has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the past couple of months and Hazard is likely to insist on having a limited fee release clause in his new deal in order to keep his chances of a transfer to a bigger club alive.
