Wilfried Bony admits Manchester City may not see the best of him until next season as he looks to settle into life at the Etihad Stadium.
The Ivory Coast international joined the Premier League champions from Swansea City in a €35 million deal in January but he has scored just once in five Premier League appearances thus far.
Bony, who has suffered injuries and was absent at the Africa Cup of Nations, concedes that he is yet to hit top form for his new club, but has vowed to return to his best in the 2015-16 season.
“Yes it’s been very frustrating, first because of injury and second because we are not winning games,” he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“No one expects you to be 100 per cent in the first few weeks. I’m working very hard to get it back.
"It’s not coming as I would have expected and I'm not 100% yet but I hope to get quicker and score more.
“I still want to do something this season but next season I will be very good.”
