TEAM NEWS: Sturridge makes Liverpool debut against Mansfield

Luis Suarez starts from the bench whilst regular captain Steven Gerrard is rested completely and veteran centre-back Jamie Carragher returns to the heart of the Red's defense
Liverpool's £12 million signing Daniel Sturridge makes his debut for the Merseyside club, starting alone up front and relegating an in-form Luis Suarez to the bench.

First choice goalkeeper Pepe Reina sits out, allowing the Australian Brad Jones to start against Mansfield Town.

England international Raheem Sterling is rested on the bench today as Brendan Rodgers opts to start Stewart Downing, whilst another notable absence being that of captain Steven Gerrard, who is rested completely for today's tie.
