Swansea keen on Jonathan De Guzman - report

The former Netherlands Under-21 star is eager to leave the Yellow Submarine this summer following their relegation, and could be on his way to the Premier League
Jonathan De Guzman appears to be on his way out of Villarreal ahead of the 2012-13 campaign as Swansea City have shown an interest in signing the attacking midfielder, De Telegraaf reports.

Swans manager Michael Laudrup is looking to add some fresh blood to his midfield this summer, and the Dane supposedly sees the 24-year-old De Guzman as the perfect addition.

The duo previously worked together at Mallorca during the 2010-11 campaign, and the newly-appointed Swansea boss is keen to be reunited with the midfielder.

The former Netherlands Under-21 international is desperate to leave Villarreal after a disappointing season which culminated in relegation from La Liga, and De Guzman is believed to be eyeing a switch to the Premier League

He was previously linked with Twente and Hamburg, but Swansea now appear to be sitting in pole position to lure the Canada-born midfielder away from El Madrigal.
