Luka Modric Cleared Of Leg Break And Will Travel With Tottenham Squad For Werder Bremen Champions League Clash

X-rays allay Croatian's injury fears...
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric will travel with the squad for their opening Champions League group match at Werder Bremen on Tuesday after it was confirmed he had not broken his leg.

The Croatian midfielder had to be substituted during the first half of Saturday's Premier League draw at West Bromwich Albion, but subsequent x-rays on his left fibula came back clear.

An update on the Tottenham official website added he "will continue to be monitored prior to being made available for selection on Tuesday."

The news will be a boost to Harry Redknapp, who is already without the injured Jermain Defoe and Michael Dawson for the majority of the group stages as the club embark on their first Champions League campaign.
