Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger Admits Finding It 'Incredibly Difficult' To Sign Players This Summer

Gunners boss claims market is 'dead'...
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed how "incredibly difficult" it has been to bring new summer signings to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Frenchman has captured the signatures of three players during this summer’s transfer window, with 30-year-old centre-back Sebastien Squillaci being the third to join the London club on Friday morning.

Arsenal are rarely noted as big spenders during transfer periods, however Wenger believes it has been harder than ever this time around to secure players.

"[It has been] incredibly difficult, I must say," Wenger told the club’s official website.

"It's the first year I've felt [like this]. The clubs who had players didn't want to sell and therefore there was no movement. I don't know if it's the 25-player squad rule, is it the money situations? But there is just no movement. It's dead."
