Rangers have completed the signing of promising Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss on a one-year loan deal.
The 20-year-old had been made available for a temporary switch after falling down the pecking order at the big spending Eastlands after the arrivals of David Silva, Adam Johnson and James Milner since the New Year.
Despite being linked - and saying he would be delighted - with a move to the Gers' bitter Glasgow rivals Celtic, the youngster will now look to gain some valuable first-team experience while attempting to win some sliverware with the Scottish champions at Ibrox.
Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart were also said to be heavily interested in the player, but they miss out with the Slovakia international, who featured at the World Cup, remaining in the UK.
Weiss had a loan spell with Oweyn Coyle's Bolton Wanderers in the second half of last season, although he was largely restricted to a place on the substitutes' bench.
