Tottenham Hotspur Midfielder Luka Modric Looking Forward To ‘Biggest Club Game' Of His Career Against Manchester City

Croatian eyes Champions League spot…
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric believes Wednesday’s match with Manchester City is the biggest club game of his career.

Spurs lie fourth in the table, one point ahead of Roberto Mancini’s men, with just two league games remaining.

Following defeats for Aston Villa and Liverpool at the weekend, the race for the fourth place is now between Spurs and City with both looking to qualify for the Champions League for the first time.

"It's a big game, probably the biggest club game I've played because the Champions League is at stake," Modric told the club’s official website.

"We managed an important win against Bolton, City had a great win against Villa and this is probably the game of the season.

"In fact not probably, it's definitely the game of the season for both us and them."

Modric believes Tottenham fans have every right to be confident ahead of the clash at Eastlands given their recent success over Mancini’s side.

"We've played City three times since I've been here and won all three matches, including 3-0 here earlier in the season," he added.

"It is such a big game and I'm sure it will be a joy to play in it. We have a great team with so many quality players and I'm sure we can go there and do well again."
