Tottenham Hotspur have entered negotiations for Palermo centre-back Simon Kjaer, according to The Mirror.
Spurs have long been linked with the young Danish powerhouse, who has impressed immensely since moving to Italy in the summer of 2008.
Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are also said to be tracking the defender, and it was reported recently that Tottenham could be priced out of the race.
But Lilywhites boss Harry Redknapp is now ready to do business with the Rosanero, after seeing Kjaer strut his stuff as Palermo clashed with Fiorentina on Sunday.
While Tottenham have no issue with the £11 million asking price, the player's advisers are thought to be seeking wages of around £100,000 per week - a figure well outside the club's pay structure.
Juventus' Giorgio Chiellini is also said to be on Spurs' radar as they seek cover for Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King.
