Arsenal legend Ian Wright has sensationally claimed that former Gunner Patrick Vieira will move to the Emirates.
The 33-year-old midfielder has had tough times with Inter since joining them in 2006, and has made only a little over 50 appearances in the last three years.
The Nerazzurri will let go of the player on a free transfer, as he seeks to play week in, week out in order to prepare for the World Cup in South Africa next year.
The Frenchman, in whom Tottenham Hotspur have also registered an interest, is reportedly being offered a pay-as-you-play contract at Ashburton Grove.
"I'm hearing Vieira, pay-as-you-play, back at Arsenal,” Wright exclaimed on his Talksport show.
"That's what I'm hearing, and that's what I'm hoping."
Incidentally, Arsene Wenger's men have not won any silverware since Vieira’s last kick in the Arsenal jersey, when he scored the winning penalty in a shootout against Manchester United in the FA Cup in 2005.
