Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni recently spoke to fans through the club's official website chat, giving his thoughts on all things Toffee flavoured during his injury downtime.
Mick Rathbone - the club's physio - recently revealed that Yakubu was nearing full fitness, but the Nigerian himself is unsure of any specific date that he might make a full recovery.
"I don't know really. It's been good to be training with the team. [My injury] is getting better and better," Yakubu started.
"I'm just being patient, working hard, setting goals and sticking to them."
When quizzed by a fan if he would have competition from Louis Saha and Jo for a place in the starting XI, the striker answered in modest fashion.
"I'm happy that we have such good quality up front now. They're settling in well - it'll be great to fight for my place," he went on.
"Every year the side is getting better. We are getting stronger as a unit and we are building. It's great.
"I just want to keep fit, get better and score goal and hopefully get to a final and win a trophy."
The 26-year-old concluded with his intentions for next season, hoping that he can crush his previous goal tallies and score well into double figures.
"I've never scored below 10, I want to score more. I want to score as many as I can. Over 20 hopefully," he finished.
