Didier Drogba Set To Extend Chelsea Contract - Report

Didier Drogba is set to end speculation about his future by signing a three-year extension to his contract at Chelsea.

The Ivorian's future has been in some doubt throughout the summer, but he now looks set to end his career at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Times, a three-year deal worth £120,000 a week has been agreed in principle, and Drogba is expected to put pen to paper later this week.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the club were keen for him to stay, saying, "Drogba is a very important player for us and we want him to play for Chelsea.

"He’s irreplaceable as no other striker in the world can do the same job. I’ve spoken with Drogba and know what he wants.

"He told me he’s happy to stay."
