Peterborough United's director of football, Barry Fry, has revealed that the club have not received a bid for goalkeeper Joe Lewis.
The England under-21 international was reportedly the subject of a £2m offer from Everton, with many other clubs said to be monitoring the situation.
However Fry admitted he was surprised at the lack of interest as he told The Peterborough Evening Telegraph, "I've had no
conversation with Everton or any other club about Joe, which is a
surprise because he is forever being linked with Premier League teams.
"He's certainly good enough to play at that level, but there is no question of us wanting to sell him."
Lewis may start for England in the Under-21's European Championship Final tonight as his country's first choice keeper, Joe Hart, is suspended for the game.
England take on Germany tonight as one of football's most enduring rivalries is renewed in the final of the tournament in Sweden.
