Aston Villa have signed one for the future in the form of Northampton Town standout Courtney Cameron.
The 16-year-old left-sided player has been signed by Martin O'Neill (pictured) at Villa for an undisclosed fee, thus following in the footsteps of Mark Randall and Anton Blackwood as another Northampton academy graduate who will be plying his trade for a Premier League club.
"Courtney has been at the club for a number of years and has improved immeasurably in that time," commented Cobblers' head of youth Geoff Harrop.
"He's an attacking player, very athletic and has an excellent attitude. He has worked hard, listened well and he, just like Mark and Anton before him, is proof that local players are in good hands here at Northampton Town."
