The representative of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, John Ola Shittu, has attempted to play down the speculation linking his client with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Shittu denied any talk of a move to brilafm.net. “Chelsea are right behind him,” he explained. “They are very happy with him and they want to keep him for as long as possible.
“In the next one or two weeks, we are probably going to be able to give you guys more good news. Mikel is not going anywhere.
“He is staying with Chelsea. He is 100 per cent committed to the cause and that’s where he is going to be for now.”
Inter were linked with a swoop for Mikel in May. The Sun mooted that he, along with Ricardo Carvalho, would be subject to a £21 million from Jose Mourinho's men.
