According to a report in The Daily Mail, Ben Sahar will undergo a medical with los Periquitos tomorrow before finalising a deal worth around €1 million.
Sahar, who has won 15 caps for Israel's senior side, will sign a four-year deal with the Spanish side if all goes well in the medical. Since signing for Chelsea in 2006 from Hapoel Tel Aviv, Sahar has failed to make any sort of impression and has been farmed out on loan to clubs including Portsmouth and De Graafschap.
After making only three appearances for Chelsea, Sahar's spell at the club appears to be up.
Sahar's signing will be a breath of fresh air for Espanyol, who are looking to build on last year's disappointing campaign. It was only due to a late run of form that they avoided relegation, but with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm from the start of the season and the team moving into a new stadium, it could be an exciting year for Barcelona's second side.
