Arsenal have locked down highly promising FC Zurich defender Martin Angha.
According to Setanta Sports, the Gunners have hammered out a deal with the Swiss champions which will see the 15-year-old make the switch to London in January 2010 by which point he will have turned 16.
Arsene Wenger (pictured) has been keeping close tabs of the tall centre-back (six foot and still growing) ever since he captained the FC Zurich U-16 team through the Nike Cup qualifiers six months ago.
When he arrives, Angha is expected to start off under Steve Gatting in the Under-16’s with the initiative of quickly making it into the Reserves.
The Swiss youth player has actually featured in an Arsenal shirt already, having been given a run-out for the Under-15’s during their 2-1 victory over Chelsea when he and his family were in London earlier this week to ink the deal.
