Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp says that his Cameroonian left-back, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, deserves plenty of credit for the way he has acquitted himself this season.
After struggling for so long to make an impact at White Hart Lane since arriving from Lens in 2006, the 25-year-old has blossomed into one of Redknapp's most bankable performers.
"He has done very well," enthused Redknapp on Setanta Sports.
"I think he has been injured before but I have been very impressed with him this season as he has been in great form. He has looked an outstanding left-back."
Indeed, Assou-Ekotto has come a long way since making just two appearances for Spurs all of last season.
