Wise joined the Magpies a year ago, leaving his role as Leeds manager to play a part in Mike Ashley's new reign.
However, plenty of fans were critical of the appointment of Wise and have been calling for his head for plenty of time now.
Even former boss Kevin Keegan was not thought to be a fan of Wise, and Alan Shearer, who is set to takeover as manager tomorrow, has criticised the structure at the club before.
The fact that the club have announced that there are no plans could well mean more control for new manager Shearer in the transfer market, assuming he makes it through to the summer.
In a statement released by the club this evening, they confirmed that the former Chelsea man will no longer be at the club.
"Newcastle United can today confirm that Dennis Wise has left his position as Executive Director," read the statement.
"The Club would like to take this opportunity to wish Dennis well for the future.
"There are no plans to appoint a replacement in this role."
