Liverpool & Chelsea Target Simon Kjaer Has Minimum Fee Release Clause – Report

Recent speculation has linked Premier League duo Liverpool and Chelsea with an end of season move for Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.

Having impressed playing for Danish club Midtjylland in the 2007-08 campaign, the 19-year-old earned a move to Serie A side Palermo last summer.

The Denmark Under-21 international is said to have adapted well to Italian football and his displays for the Rosanero this season have apparently caught the eye of Real Madrid as well as the English pair.

It seems that the 6ft 2in centre-back could well be on the move again this summer as his agent, former Middlesbrough striker Mikkel Beck, has claimed that his client has a minimum fee release clause in his contract with Palermo.

"A clause in his contract will allow him to move during a set period in the summer," Beck is quoted as saying in the British tabloid The Daily Mirror, with the figure thought to be €11.9 million (£11m).
