According to ahramonline, former Al-Ahly goalkeeper Essam El Hadary has resolved the problems he had with El Merreikh officials.
“I appreciate Merriekh and their chairman Gamal El-Wali. I respect their supporters, players and technical staff,” he said in his official website.
“Thanks to Merriekh president for ending the situation and we hope the friendly spirit remains and they approve a European move for El-Hadary next season,” the player’s agent Mohamed Shiha said.
This comes after the club’s officials were quoted saying that they received no official offers from the English club, Hull City.
“We will not release the player from his three-year contract with us,” Merriekh chairman Gamal Al-Wali was quoted in Sudanese newspaper El-Sadda.
El Hadary featured for the Sudanese outfit in the Cecafa Cup before they crashed out in the semi-finals. He managed to score two goals in two different penalty shoot-outs which the team was involved in during the competition.
