Central African Republic name African Cup of Nations qualifying squad for Morocco

The coach of Les Fauves on Thursday revealed a list of 26 players summoned for the 2012 Afcon fifth round qualifier against the Lions of Atlas, amid security concerns from Caf

Central African Republic coach Jules Accorsi on Thursday published a 26-man squad to confront Morocco in a Group D decider of the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifying campaign taking place on September 4 at the Complexe Sportif Barthelemy Boganda, Bangui, where match incidents have erupted during the team’s previous meetings against Algeria and Tanzania.

Caf sent a letter to the Central African Republic football federation on Thursday, urging officials to put everything in place for a secure and problem-free encounter, or else the facility would be suspended from hosting games and the body fined.

Morocco top the group with seven points, tie with Central African Republic. The winner of their encounter will be inching closer to the 2012 showpiece.
