Israeli Premier League side Maccabi Tel Aviv have announced the signing of Moussa Konate from Senegal’s division one club Toure Kunda on a four-year contract.
The 18-year-old striker was able to convince the Yellows’ management after a one-month trial.
“Moussa Konate is lucky to join a big club like Maccabi that will be playing the Europa League next season,” said Lamine Mboup, the player’s agent at Sport Global Management.
“He helped Toure Kunda climb to division one and win the Senegal Cup last season. He has also become an indispensable player in Senegal’s Olympic team. This signing is therefore a logical progress and a big step forward for the career of the teenager,” Mboup added.
A number of European clubs have sent scouts to Senegal as of late to ferret for young talents.
