The Cote D’Ivoire Olympic team has qualified for the next round after holding Liberia to a goalless draw in Monrovia on Wednesday in the return leg qualifying game.

The Elephataux advance on a 4-0 aggregate, having won the first leg in Accra, Ghana a forthnight ago.

The Liberia-Cote D’Ivoire face-off had been scheduled for 10 April but the continued political instability in Cote D’Ivoire prompted the postponement.

The Ivorian team stayed in Ghana for about a month preparing for both the home and away fixtures against Liberia.

Cote D’Ivoire will play Congo in the next round of qualifiers in June.

The first-leg will be played in Brazzaville on 19 June with the return leg scheduled for Abidjan two weeks later, depending on the improvement of the security situation, according to the Ivorian FA.
