Achievement: The marksman spoiled the fun for holders Ghana with his brace
The Enugu Rangers marksman has been brilliantly exceptional over the past weeks and stood in for country when duty called at the ongoing Africa Youth Championship.
Nwofor’s worth in front of goal once again came to light when the Flying Eagles met their bitter rivals Ghana in an opening Group B game in South Africa. The 19-year-old pierced through the hearts of the defending champions with two painful goals in both halves sliming their chances of qualification to the next phase of the competition.
The former Shooting Stars FC loanee could turn out to be one of the most sorts after when the 17th edition of the CAF tournament comes to a close if he keeps to his great from. Nwofor was on top of his game against the U20 World Champions with his astonishing skills, but unfortunately he could not add to his tally in their 1-0 defeat against Cameroon on Thursday.
The youngster has earned a cap with the senior side and judging from his current performance he could be a priceless goal poacher for the west African football powerhouse in the near future.
