Exclusive: I Am Taking My Team For A Win Against Cape Verde – Liberia Coach Roberto Landi

The Italian tactician says his philosophy as a coach and player is to go for victory in every match...
Liberia interim coach Roberto Landi has said playing away is no different from playing at home, so he is going for a win with the Lone Star against Cape Verde in the 2012 Nations Cup qualifier.

Landi told Goal.com he is upbeat that his side has the kind of attitude a coach requires to achieve results having had them in camp for the last few days.

“The Liberian players are fantastic and I trust their ability, they have fit in my training quite well, and have shown me that they have the desire to work with me for the Liberian team,” the Italian disclosed.

He said the only advantage his opponents have is playing at home with all the home crowd support. He has promised Liberians a result they have not witnessed for closed to a decade.

Coach Landi departed Monrovia Monday morning with an 18-man squad to the Cape Verde Islands for the showdown on Saturday.
