Tom Saintfiet has abandoned Namibia to take on a new appointment as the coach of the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

The Belgian, who was on a four-year contract with Namibia, got the nod for his new job after two weeks of heated disagreement among Zimbabwe FA officials.

FA chairman Cuthbert Dube rooted for local coach and former Warriors captain Norman Mapeza, while the technical committee was on the side of Saintfied.

According to SuperSports.com, Mapeza will now become Saintfied’s assistant along with Black Mambas technical director Madinda Ndlovu.
