The former Chelsea right back leaves Turkey for Greece…

Cameroonian-born defender Geremi Njitap has moved to Super League Greece club Larissa on a two-year contract, having successfully exhausted his former deal with Turkish Super Lig Ankaragucu.

“With experience in two of the major European leagues, and in two of the biggest clubs in the world, the superstar is the biggest transfer ever for Larissa and one of the greatest in Greece,” the Thessaly club commented in a statement.

The 31-year-old Geremi began his professional career in 1996 at Racing Club Bafoussam, a Cameroonian formation, before moving to Europe to play for some top flight clubs including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Newcastle United.

He has been part of the Indomitable Lions since 1996, winning two Africa Cup of Nations titles (2000 and 2002) and Olympic gold in 2000.
